Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Pharmacy

Increase in Some of the Board's Application and License Renewal Fees, Effective January 1, 2010

Effective January 1, 2010, the Board will raise some of its application and renewal fees to the statutory minimum, as authorized by newly passed legislation (“AB 1071”; Stats. 2009, Ch. 270.)   As of Wednesday, December 30, 2009, the board has updated its applications and instructions on the Web site to reflect the new fees.

Applicants – Please be advised that affected applications and instructions contain the new fees.  All applications mailed after December 31, 2009, need to include the higher application fee.

Licensees – Please be advised that this change affects licensees whose licenses expire after December 31, 2009 (Specifically, those with expiration dates on and after January 1, 2010.)  The renewal fee you must pay is determined by your license expiration date.  Even if you pay your renewal fees early, you are subject to the fee in effect on the date your license expires.  The renewal form provided documents the appropriate renewal fee.
